AOL was used in an email scam that used spoof email links to a spoof webpage. The email claimed to be from AOL asking to confirm account data by clicking on the link. The link took victims to a spoof login page where their details were captured by the phishers. The spoof webpage was traced to Singapore.

SouthTrust was used in an email scam that used spoof email links to a spoof webpage. The URL of the spoof website was disguised as "Login to Online Account ". The spoof website was traced to Kyonggi, Korea.

The email scam that included eBay had a subject line of "Renew your eBay account!" It is important to note that eBay never send users emails requesting details in this way. The spoof website was traced to Aquitaine, France.

The email scam that used PayPal as their guise originated in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The risk for this email was medium and the URL looked nothing like the real URL for PayPal.

eBay is the company most associated with an email scam. It must be easy to get eBay users to give up their details for this email scam to continue it all of its variations. eBay must also be concerned about this because they have launched very expensive programs to educate their users about this email scam.
